Chelsi McLain, M.A., LPC
Welcome to Life Balance Counseling Group! I am excited that you are here because it means that you are ready to take the next step towards an intentional and meaningful life. As the founder and senior counselor at Life Balance Counseling Group located in Dallas, Texas, I care deeply about creating a space where my clients can gain clarity, understanding and healing. Trust, empathy and compassion are important components of the therapeutic relationship and I count it an honor and privilege to work with each one of my clients. I have a heart for those struggling with self-doubt, feelings of insecruity, depression, anxiety, and lack confidence in their purpose and direction. I am energized by working with individuals who are engaged and curious about who they are and are willing to explore new ways of understanding and experiencing life. I do believe change is possible, goals can be reached, and that the feelings you are experiencing, although a part of the human condition, do not have to hold you back from living a life of congruence and intentionality.
I received my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Heath Counseling from The Ohio State University where I gained extensive supervised graduate and post-graduate training in clinical mental health and career counseling. Since receiving my License in Professional Counseling in Texas and prior to transitioning into private practice, I served at Southern Methodist University as a Career Counselor and the Associate Director of Career Development.
While my clinical and career counseling training and experience are important, I want my clients to feel understood and accepted for where they are at, and empowered to know that positive change and healing is possible. My counseling approach integrates mindfulness, compassion focused and strengths-based approaches, in addition to, my real life experiences, my own personal therapy, continued education and training, and living a simple and intentional life.
Please do not hesitate to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or call me at 972-861-2368, if you have any additional questions and/or would like to explore if we could be a good fit for working together. If you live in Texas, but are unable to make it to Dallas for sessions, I do offer phone and video sessions for clients and would be happy to discuss this option with you.
