Allie Travis, M.S., LPC
I am passionate about helping my clients navigate and find fulfillment in life. I believe that each individual is a holistic, creative being with the capacity for growth through a supportive, encouraging environment in which one can increase knowledge about oneself. Counseling is an opportunity for you to work on specific issues such as self-awareness, self-esteem, stress management, life transitions, anxiety, relationships, career decisions, or any other topic you deem important. I hope to build a collaborative relationship with you in which we will work together to identify your goals of counseling to help resolve existing concerns.
After earning my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Texas Christian University, I completed my Master of Science in Counseling from Southern Methodist University where I also received specialized training including Embodied Expressive Arts Therapy, Dispute Resolution, Social Skills Training, and Lifestyle and Career Development. I also have extensive experience working with college students through my past experience at a private university in Dallas. The transition from high school to college then college to career can be daunting at times, and I love working with individuals to discover their true passions, skills, and values, set goals, and make them a reality. In my free time, I also enjoy yoga, playing tennis, and trying local restaurants in Dallas.
